We Are Farming Minds affected by Beacon CRM Data Breach
On the 3rd August 2026, we were informed about a data breach on 29th July affecting Beacon. Beacon is the third-party system that we use to manage our supporters’, donors’ and service users’ information. The system has remained active and has not gone offline, but Beacon are unable to clarify what data may have been breached across 1500 charities and organisations that they provide services for.
We don’t yet have a full picture of the extent of the data breach, but understand that it may have included We Are Farming Minds’ data.
What information may be involved?
This data breach may include information such as your name, phone number, email address, postal address and any information provided to us in connection with our services.
What are we doing to address the breach?
We continue to work with Beacon to understand the full impact and are working hard to minimise any risk that we can as a team. We have reported this incident to all the relevant authorities.
What should you do?
Our advice would be to be careful of any unexpected calls, and or phishing emails where you are not familiar with the sender.
Always look at the email address of the sender before opening the email or clicking on any links. Our official emails come from contacts at ‘@wearefarmingminds.co.uk’, if an email comes from anything other than this, please treat it as junk and delete it.
