Outlining mental health support

We’re always looking for volunteers who are passionate about mental wellbeing and want to make a difference within the farming community.

Support line 

Can you answer our call to provide Support line support? You don’t need any previous experience because free, full training will be provided. If you’ve got the following qualities, please get in touch:

  • Empathetic
  • Reliable
  • Open minded and non-judgemental
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Good Communication and listening skills
  • Discretion, whilst respecting confidentiality

Events

Do you have some spare time to represent We Are Farming Minds at Shows/Events?

 Volunteering at our events is a great way to experience the great atmosphere of events whilst meeting lots of new people and support us in raising awareness!

 What does it involve?  Setting up the We are Farming Minds stand with another volunteer and speaking with people throughout the day to inform them of the services we offer.

 Location: Various Locations within Herefordshire

 Types of Events:  These can range from small village fetes and open days to large agricultural shows.

 Time Commitment:  Times vary dependent on the event, but average between 6 and 8   hours.

Training: All volunteers will be trained in “Mental Health Awareness Training” and have full training in the services we offer as a charity.

 Expenses: Fuel and lunch expenses will be paid.

 

All volunteer roles  will be asked to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
